There are numerous search engines on the web and even more meta-search engines. Why should you notice another one? The answer is simple: there is still no good meta-search engine.

What is a meta-search engine anyway?

Different search engines are good for doing different things. This leads to you sitting in front of the computer and while you try engine after engine you type the same keywords over and over. Our portal is here to end this! There is no need to build a better search engine but there is a need in simplifying the way you access the available ones.

Our innovations

Using our meta-search engine is a little different to what you usually expect from a search engine. But if you think about our modifications soon you will ask yourself why no one else 'rounded the corners' of the web. Below we will introduce you to our main innovations.

One Click Select & Search

Normally you have to perform 3 tasks on a meta-search engine:
1. Enter your keywords or phrase
2. Select a search engine
3. Reach for the submit button and click it.
We thought about it and reduced this to two. Why should you hit the submit button? On our seach engine all you have to do is to select the engine, the submit-function is triggered automatically.

Search Engine 'Browsing'

While trying different search engines to get the results you are looking for you would normally type the search phrase over and over. When you use our search frame your keywords will be automatically submitted to the currently selected search engine. And again: no need to press the submit button.

Search the Web and More

The internet is more than the www. There are different 'layers', i.e the Usenet - searching only the web is a limited view. In addition to that there is something called the 'deep web', information burried in databases, news or images. Our meta-search engine reflects this by a vast array of search engines to select from; including their services that may be new to you. And we added some sites that you would normally forget about but you would be surprised what can be found there.
The current list of searches (and their sources) includes:
• The web (Google, Yahoo, AltaVista, MSN, A9)
• Dictionary Knowledge (Wikipedia in four languages, MS Encarta)
• Images (Google, Yahoo/Altavista)
• Videos (Google, Yahoo/Altavista)
• Movies (Internet Movie Database)
• Deep Web (eBay, Alexa, Archive.org)

Selectable Redirection Behavior

Most meta-search engines know only one mode of behaviour. Our meta-search engine supports three! You decide if you want to be redirected to a clean, single frame website. Or if you want our services to assist you on your way through the result pages. In this case you can select if you would like a very slim top-frame (think of it as our 'toolbar') or an embedded box (although the latter lacks a few functions.
